Guru Nanak Dev was born on 15 April 1469, now celebrated as Prakash Divas of Guru Nanak Dev, into a Bedi Kshatriya family in the village of Rāi Bhōi dī Talwandī, now called Nankana Sahib, near Lahore, Pakistan.Today, his birthplace is marked by Gurdwara Janam Asthan. He was born into a Muslim Village and later had an inner conviction to create the Sikh Religion. His father, Mehta Kalyan Das Bedi, popularly shortened to Mehta kalo, was the patwari (accountant) of crop revenue for the village of Talwandi in the employment of a Muslim landlord of that area, Rai Bular Bhatti. Guru Nanak’s mother was Tripta Devi and he had one elder sister, Bebe Nanaki who became a spiritual figure in her own right.

GURU NANAK (15 April 1469 – 22 September 1539) was the founder of the religion of Sikhism and the first of the ten Sikh Gurus. It was the time when people use to fight for religion claiming that their religion is truthful. Guru Nanak traveled across all over India ,Arab, Afghanistan, Nepal, Tibet to deliver the message of God that there is one GOD whether its OM or Allah it is same name to one omnipresent omnipotent GOD.
