Guru Nanak : Rabi Rooh(God messenger)

Guru Nanak JI was not a common man. He was a star on earth to dispel darkness and uproot evil thinking from mind of Humans.Some represented him to be Ghost and some Magician but no one knew the truth that he was messenger of God.

What was the need  to come to this earth if there were already many messenger came to this world earlier.It was noone but Gods Wish and order(hukum) to Guru Nanak by God to remove  the superstition in religions and create a religion which is religion of God which speaks core value of religion to human civilization. Nanak in god's will spoke "Na ko Hindu Na Musalman"

In his bani Japji sahib Guru Nanak JI included both what  hindus and muslim believes in a clear meaning representing that the core meaning of religion is same in all religion.

In 22 pauri (phrase) of japji sahib
.
ਪਾਤਾਲਾ ਪਾਤਾਲ ਲਖ ਆਗਾਸਾ ਆਗਾਸ ॥
paatala paatal lakh agasa agaas||

There are nether worlds beneath nether worlds, and hundreds of thousands of heavenly worlds above.


ਓੜਕ ਓੜਕ ਭਾਲਿ ਥਕੇ ਵੇਦ ਕਹਨਿ ਇਕ ਵਾਤ ॥
Orakh orakh Bhal thake Ved kahen ek baat||

The Vedas say that you can search and search for them all, until you grow weary.

ਸਹਸ ਅਠਾਰਹ ਕਹਨਿ ਕਤੇਬਾ ਅਸੁਲੂ ਇਕੁ ਧਾਤੁ ॥
sahas 18 kahen kateba asuloo ek dhat||
The scriptures say that there are 18,000 worlds, but in reality, there is only One Universe.Here word scriptures is used for Quran. 

ਲੇਖਾ ਹੋਇ ਤ ਲਿਖੀਐ ਲੇਖੈ ਹੋਇ ਵਿਣਾਸੁ ॥
lekha hoye ta likheye lekhe hoye vinas||
If you try to write an account of this, you will surely finish yourself before you finish writing it.
The accounts of how the things happeneing in universe cannot be accounted . If one claims to do so will not be ever to complete because he himself dies before completing.


ਨਾਨਕ ਵਡਾ ਆਖੀਐ ਆਪੇ ਜਾਣੈ ਆਪੁ ॥੨੨॥
nanak wada akhiye ape jane aap||22||
O Nanak, call Him Great! He Himself knows Himself. ||22||


So,with this pauri Guru Nanak JI liked to tell every humans  that why to waste time in searching for God because there is only one way to know all  and it is just by remembering  him and if he blesses you then you will know every account of God.
So remember God and remembering will draw you nearer to him and you will be blessed
.
  Jesus said " I am the way the Truth and the Life . If you believe in me you live eternal life."

The one who believe in God will remember him and if one remember him then he will be drawn nearer to him and lives blissful life.
And this is the only way what Nanak said, which is the way to real Truth, in which Jesus and other messenger had already traveled.

Guru Nanak Dev JI visited many places during his journey to preach world about GOD's Grace and Greatness. This journey was termed as UDASIS. During his Udasis he also traveled the great temple of ORISSA JAGANNATH PURI located in PURI at bank of BAY OF BENGAL Ocean. When Guru Nanak Dev JI journeyed to PURI they stayed one night in Katak where now Gurdwara Daatan Sahib exist in the bank of Mahanadi.In the bank of river Mahanadi Guru Nanak Dev JI did DATUN(old way of cleaning teeth using neem tree stick). After cleaning teeth Guru JI  buried that stick 2 or so inch in the ground. Now  that stick has taken shape of Big tree. Seeing this Gurdwara was established in the memory of Guru Nanak JI such miracle.

So, Guru Nanak JI then visited JAGANNATH PURI and sung the hymns of great lord God. The hymn was composed by Guru Nanak Dev Ji which he had collected from many places . Now it is added as Aarti in Shri Guru Granth Sahib JI. This great Aarti has become the daily prayer of Sikh which was composed by Guru Nanak DEV JI which was written by Shri Ravidas JI,Shri Sant Sain JI,Shri Sant Kabir JI and Shri Dhana JI.
The major reason for doing this was that Guru Nanak Dev JI saw that Brahmins were doing many rituals, like fire Aarti,breaking coconuts etc. But it was totally ignored that God  gets happy with love and devotion toward God.So for that Guru Nanak JI discarded the ritual and sung the hymn without going with the ritual of brahmins to prove that if GOD like love and devotion then why to waste time on rituals that to some extent are materialistic.

Guru Nanak dev ji says

Oh Nanak there is no place in this creation and no living mortal who is not sorrowful. Even affluence do not bear fruit of happiness that last longer. This creation is always changing but there is one who is constant which is GOD.

Awakened mind with Gods Consciousness and intoxicated with the Nectar of Naam do not worry about the sorrow because he knows

"Dukh sukh purab janam ka kiya".
What you sow shall you reap.

So this sorrow will also gets over and lord will bless you with happiness by himself when time comes.

But what about the sorrow which will end with God's Grace.

But what is that sorrow that has no end but God's Grace.

How can one do not get into cycle of re-birth.

Oh Nanak its Naam Simran which end your sorrow and bring God nearer to you. and you will be honored in the court of lord after death and will not take birth again in this world.

Guru Nanak:humililty,positive attitude,compassion

Guru Nanak DEVJI was resemblance of positive attitude,humility,compassion.But what makes this qualities to emerge and evolve..

He speaks in his words this..

"Nanak naam chardi kala tere bhane sarbat da bhala"

he said to himself this..

My dear Nanak God's Name brings positive attitude with itself so do not fear to anyone or anything because it is god for whom you are living and will die and meet him. So praise those also who betrays you or does evils against you.May god does good for them also. Like God gave me nectar of Naam and my goodness became in taking god Name so ask the same for them as taking name of GOD is bringing positive attitude compassion and humility. So i pray u God please take us under your residence and not me but also those who does evil of me and do good to them also like u did to me.

Such statement shows the faith of Guru Nanak Dev JI that how much worship he did in his life and would have done in his past life which originated these three qualities humility compassion and positive attitude.

Ik­oaʼnkār saṯ nām karṯā purakẖ nirbẖa­o nirvair akāl mūraṯ ajūnī saibẖaʼn gur parsāḏ.

Guru Nanak,shah Fakir Hindu ka Guru,Muslman Ka Pir

At the time Guru Nanak there were two popular religion Hinduism and Islam. Bhagti was rooted in Hinduism and Sufism in Islam.Sufism based on Islam,bore signs of Hindu influence, and Bhagti rooted in Hinduism,carried an impress of Islam. But the constructive trends initiated by Bhagti and sufism recieved special stimulus from Shri Guru Nanak Dev JI. He took full cognisance of the situation in the country and his message was meant for both Hindus and Muslims.

Shri Guru Nanak Dev JI attain wisdom by practicing spirituality,humanity and religion by traveling world over forty thousand miles in forty years and interacting Sufis and Bhagats of those times. Traveling in those days was not easy as today. Guru Sahib's long and laborious journeys were not intended as pilgrimages,when means of modern conveyance were lacking.

He seems to have traveled to obtain personal acquaintance with as many recognized centers of spiritual life of both the religious as he could, and to spread his own message of Divine Unity and Truth to different sections of mankind. Guru Nanak Dev JI during his journey collected and preserved the hymns of Muslim Sufis and Hindu Bhagats to include in a single source of guidance to the entire mankind.

They never preached for Sikhism but there disciples were getting called as Sikh which means learner. Their motto was also humanism and spiritualism in the roots of their own religion of Sanatan Dharam in the purest form,as of Sikhism.
